    1. Phaiyasith Davy says:

Im just a freshman in thailand university (Cambodian). I really want to know the policy of the scholarship. For instance, If a student passes all the selections process then he/she will be allowed to continue his/her education in Japan but how and where they gonna stay while they are studying?

According to the Japan’s economic, all the food and stuff are expensive so what is the solution for the poor scholarship student? or they have to work and earn the profit while they are studying? then their education quality will be affected.

Im a biology student if i want to continue for medicine degree will I be offered the major i want or I will be given a major according to the scholarship.

      Thankz,

      Sincerely, Phaiyasith Davy

    2. Hi Davy,

      Thanks for your inquiry!

There are different criterias and policies for each scholarship to pursue degree in Japan. For the government scholarship, the allowance is more than enough for your living and studying; so you don’t have to worry about accomodation, foods, or books, even if they are so expensive. Giving you an easy example, if your scholarship allowance is $1200 per month, you can use this amount for your personal expences as such accomodation, foods, or books, and so on, however, school fee are already paid for you which meant you don’t have to worry about paying school fee. Part-time job some cases is allowed for you, hence some scholarship strongly prohibits you from doing a part-time job. As study is so hard in Japan, I don’t recommend you to work for money.

For field of study, I think, it’s accordanced. Monbukagakusho scholarship allows you to choose any field you prefer freely, on the other hand, JDS scholarship is setup the field of study according to ODA to Cambodia. For more about Monbukagakusho or JDS, please read detail in our blog link at your right hand side and scroll down a bit you’ll see.

Remember, read and reread about each schoarship requirements, you’ll find out its secrete!

      Best regards,
